The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing the operations of workshops in all locations, overseeing the maintenance activities of company owned / leased vehicles, and ensuring all the daily Service operations are done at the highest engineering standards, the least downtime, and total compliance with the UAE regulations and Health and safety guidelines. Manage teams of technicians across the UAE, manage vehicles renewal process, Sustain, analyse and improve vehicles performance, liaise with all vendors and leasing companies, and negotiate contracts, to ensure proper performance of company fleet assets to achieve corporate objectives. Key Accountabilities in detail with sub tasks Workshop Operations · Manage fleet operations for the best vehicles availability and reliability at all times. · Schedule preventative maintenance of all the company vehicles at proper intervals. · Schedule the timely renewal of all fleet official documents and permits (i.e. registration cards, distribution permits, parking permits, …etc), to ensure best fleet compliance to traffic regulations. · Manage daily workshop daily operations, to ensure the optimal utilization of assets, resources, and manpower, to achieve best fleet uptime at optimum cost. · Assign jobs and tasks for the best departmental and operational results. · Provide the technical guidance and support to the garage team as well and the fleet users. · Recommend the adequate inventory levels of commonly used spare parts to minimize delays in repairs. · Develop procedures to handle breakdowns and emergencies effectively, promptly respond to breakdowns, assess the situation, and take appropriate actions to minimize vehicle downtime and disruption in business operations. · Book keep fleet historical data, and regularly analyse vehicle performance, such as maintenance and repair records, to identify recurring issues or patterns, root causes of breakdowns, and improve overall vehicle reliability. · Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in fleet maintenance management, and identify areas for process improvement and customer satisfaction. Budget and Cost Control · Assist in preparations of budget & evaluate the operational expenses and ensure the expenses are within the approved budget. · Analyse workshop expenses and budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate with suppliers/ vendors for favourable pricing, and implement measure to control cost without compromising quality and customer satisfaction. · Review maintenance cost (Labour cost + cost of Lube oil + cost of spare parts + cost of outsourced repair) and ensure that the cost is maintained within set standard. · Effectively manage the fleet preventive maintenance, the trucks fuel system calibration and fuel refilling procedures to improve fuel consumption. HSE / Regulatory Compliance · Coordinate with the internal stake holders and ensure the renewal / registration or any regulatory requirement for company owned vehicle performed on time to avoid any penalty from the authority. · Ensure to maintain accurate records and documentation related to workshop operations, such as work orders, invoices, inventory breakdown, renewal / registration of vehicle, and lease agreement all the time. · Generate reports on key performance indicators, including productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial metrics, to assess workshop performance and make data-driven decisions. · Ensure all the maintenance / repair work conducted in compliance with HSE and regulatory guidelines to avoid any accidents or regulatory violation due to lack of maintenance or improper repair practices. · Comply with health and safety environment & identify hazards and risks areas within the workshop and implementing appropriate measures to mitigate.
